Information on over 55 communities, independent living, assisted living, and nursing homes.
Information on living wills and organ donation.
Information on CHIP -- children’s health insurance program and adult Basic, the state’s health insurance program for low-income families and individuals.
Information for prospective college students on scholarships, grants, and loans.
Help people get on the state and federal do not call lists.
Provide information on hunting, fishing, parks, and state game lands.
Answer questions on state income tax.
Answer questions about slots gambling and its impact on us locally.
Information on assistance for gambling addiction and substance abuse.
Information for homeowners on flooding and drainage problems.
Information for neighborhood residents on how to protect their neighborhoods from unwanted projects within and near their neighborhoods.
Information for residents on local, county, state, and federal environmental protection laws and regulations. Information for residents on how to alert the appropriate authorities regarding local environmental violations.
Information for renters on landlord problems.
Information for employees on workplace problems.
Referrals for victims of sexual, racial, and age discrimination and harassment.
Information on resources for single parent families.
State tax forms.
Obtain copies of birth and death certificates.
Provide state and local maps, state park information, tourism information, and informative government brochures.
Copies of state laws and pending state house and senate legislation.
Referrals to state agencies and other agencies to resolve problems. If we don’t know the answer, we will find someone who does.
Notarize documents.
Arrange tours of the state capital building and meetings with state officials.
Voter registration forms and absentee ballot applications.
As your state legislator, my local office staff and I will be your information source, problem solver, and advocate (ombudsman). I will work for you, not your boss or landlord. We will be straight with you. We will not play games or give you the run-around. If we cannot help you, we will say so. If we think that you are in the wrong, we will say so, though as politely as possible.
